    Beautiful Spruce Pond has much to offer visitors. Conway Swamp is a swamp right next door to Spruce Pond, and you can distinguish Bishop Hill from Spruce Pond. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things to do are truly plentiful here at Spruce Pond. Sunrise Lake Dam is a location that is near Spruce Pond, and lakes are such peaceful locations, why not take a look at Mud Pond. This lake is so wonderful. On a pleasant day at Spruce Pond you can take a hike along the Daniel  
   Coffey Memorial Trial, and don't leave Spruce Pond without first checking out Arnolds Ledge.
If you need a spot to stay Ticonderoga - Super 8 Motel is a pleasant choice, and the Half Moon Pond Trail is a perfect hiking trail nearby. You can run the rapids of Poultney River close to Spruce Pond, and there is a splendid hiking trail close by called the Glen Lake Trail. If you came for an overnight stay Bomoseen State Park Campground is a fine site to camp, and
 
               there are other places here than Spruce Pond, for example Doughty Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Half Moon State Park Campground since you're here at Spruce Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Ticonderoga Inn & Suites. During your spree to Spruce Pond you'll meet some people from Rutland for sure; enjoy a round of golf at Prospect Bay Country Club. You simply must love Spruce Pond.
Through the summer highs here at Spruce Pond reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Spruce Pond sink into the 0's. From a rainfall point of view Spruce Pond is a relatively typical site; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest.

Brandon is a well-known artist's village that is famous for several galleries shops and restaurants, and home to the well-know artist Warren Kimball. There are also many wonderful events held in the village including weekly farmers markets, and several festivals and parades throughout the year.

Country Village Campground has 41 spacious sites that can accommodate small tents all the way up to the largest of campers. The bath house is clean and spacious with hot showers, and it is located right in the middle of the campground for easy access to all sites.
A trip to Country Village Campground wouldn’t be complete without a visit to nearby Branbury State Park; nearby you hit upon the Silver Lake Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. Camping in Vermont is such a fun thing to do. All the nice local attractions in close proximity and the nice variety of outdoors recreation will certainly have you coming back persistently.

White Rocks,great trail 0.8 miles up. Trails interstect with AT, check map before you go up. Two water falls on the left. First one could be risky to see always a wet gorge. Second is off the AT a short way. At the top is a rock art garden where a sign for White Rocks cliff trail 0.2 to overlook, great view west north and south. The peak was quite higher at one time in the past. Looking down over the cliff edge are three seperate rock falls which is the old peak....
