    The beauty of Spring Lake is reason enough to stop by. And if that's not enough there's loads more entertaining stuff to do in the Green Mountains. A splendid close by hotel is Holiday Inn Rutland/Killington Area, Vt, and at Spring Lake you can catch a glimpse of Bear Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Spring Lake you will meet lots of folks from close by Rutland, and do take a hike on the Keewaydin Trail. Just can't get enough of the  
   Green Mountains. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Pico Mountain, and going for a hike along the Green Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region.
Get wet paddling on Big Branch, and if you need a spot to stay Red Roof Inn Rutland - Killington is a pleasant choice. Spring Lake is a beautiful lake in the Green Mountains. For the duration of the long summer days here at Spring Lake, high temperatures mostly
 
               get into the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while Spring Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's.
Spring Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a picturesque outdoors paradise. Killington has good slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Mill River, and while you're here and you like golf, you can visit Stonehedge Golf Course. Since you're here at Spring Lake why not pop by Clarendon Gorge, and Wallingford Municipal Forest is a good local forest.
The yearly precipitation here at Spring Lake is about average; the month with most of the rain is August; February on the other hand is the driest. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. A lake nearby is Wallingford Pond, and a wonderful spot to camp here at Spring Lake is Night Eagle Wilderness. Camping at Iroquois Land Family Campground is always a splendid experience, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Homer Stone Trail.
