A splendid close by hotel is Holiday Inn Rutland/Killington Area, Vt, and at Spring Lake you can catch a glimpse of Bear Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. outdoors paradise. Killington has good slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Mill River, and while you're here and you like golf, you can visit Stonehedge Golf Course. Since you're
here at Spring Lake why not pop by Clarendon Gorge, and Wallingford Municipal Forest is a good local forest. The yearly precipitation here at Spring Lake is about average; the month with most of the rain is August; February on
the other hand is the driest. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. A lake nearby is Wallingford Pond, and a wonderful spot to camp here at Spring Lake is Night Eagle Wilderness. Camping at Iroquois Land Family Campground is always a splendid experience, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Homer Stone Trail.
