     The beauty of Spring Lake attracts many people from all around. This lake is so wonderful. Near Spring Lake you stumble on the Keewaydin Trail which is a fine hiking trail, and some splendid nature is available in Wallingford Municipal Forest. This place, the Green Mountains, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Head up to Killington and strap some skis to your feet; going for a hike on the Homer Stone Trail is always a wonderful adventure. A common amount of  
   precipitation falls here at Spring Lake; through the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is ordinarily the driest month.
Bear Mountain is beautiful and can be made out from Spring Lake, and since you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Rutland. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Green Mountains. Spring Lake is right next door to Clarendon Gorge which is beyond doubt worth taking
 
               a look at, and Spring Lake is not the only site close by, Cooks Pond is a close by lake. And if that's not sufficient, there's lots more to do in close proximity to Spring Lake. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Pico Mountain, and if you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Rutland/Killington Area, Vt is a pleasant choice.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Spring Lake, you could also have a look at close by Wallingford Pond; after a long day outdoors Red Roof Inn Rutland - Killington is a delightful site to spend a night or two. A golf course next to Spring Lake is Stonehedge Golf Course, and there are great locations to look at along the Green Mountain Trail.
Big Branch has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby; if you came for an overnight stay Iroquois Land Family Campground is a good place to camp. So much cool stuff to do in the Green Mountains, not enough time. If only every location had this much outdoors amusing things, what a great planet it would be. Night Eagle Wilderness is a perfect campground nearby, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mill River.
Throughout the days of summer at Spring Lake highs are generally in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are commonly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Spring Lake.
