Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Hiking along the Shore Trail is splendid fun; in case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Nulhegan River. Spectacle Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Burke Mountain Campgrounds is a pleasant local campground, and not far from Spectacle Pond you'll hit upon Back Pond which is a lovely lake. Summer at Spectacle Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's while

Lyndon Outing Club has nice slopes and a friendly staff, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by Beecher Pond. The annual precipitation here
at Spectacle Pond is about average; during the month of August you get the most rain around here; the driest of the months is February. All year is a good time in the Green Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. Why not visit nearby
