South Stream Pond is always a pleasure to visit. From a rainfall point of view South Stream Pond is a reasonably typical site; the wettest month of the year is frequently August, that's the one that rains the most; February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Bald Mountain Trail; let's not forget Roaring Branch which is a stream that you may run into while here. | | River offers some nice whitewater, and lakes are such serene places, why not stop by Barber Pond. You don't have to go far from South Stream Pond to enjoy Bennington Municipal Forest. Not far from South Stream Pond you get some magnificent water scenery at South Stream Dam, and an afternoon playing golf at MT Anthony Country Club is always a diversion. some rest. Very beautiful scenery and good skiing is what you get at Mount Greylock Ski Club, and South Stream Pond is a good lake close by. During the warm months, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at South Stream Pond. During
the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are typically in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 0's for South Stream Pond. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a good time here at South
Stream Pond. There's so much to do here at South Stream Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Merck Forest Foundation is a fine site for that; the Old Stage Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. You'll
never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Jiminy Peak while you're here, and you obtain a great panorama of The Dome from here. You'll need more than a day to discover everything South Stream Pond has to offer, you can camp
at Shady Acres Campground, and hiking is a popular thing to do around South Stream Pond; Taconic Crest Trail is a great local trail. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff at South Stream Pond. Here at South Stream Pond there are plenty of people from Bennington, and dry warm beds await you at Midtown Motel.
