If you need a spot to stay Econo Lodge Killington Area is a tremendous choice, and Clarendon River is a perfect whitewater spot close by. South Pond gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here, and February on the other hand is the driest. Through the summertime months highs here at South Pond get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into       the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 20's; during the dark hours in the winter at South Pond temperatures dip to the 0's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Green Mountains. If the weather is glorious here at South Pond, you can go for a hike along the Circle Trail, and the summit of Daves Peak can be observed from South Pond. The skiing at Killington is great; going for a hike along the South Pond Trail will let you absorb the natural                  beauty of this area.
