What a nice lake South Pond is. And if that's not sufficient there's a lot more exciting stuff to do in the Green Mountains. Hit the slopes at Stowe in the vicinity; the Bayley Hazen Military Road Trail is a tremendous hiking trail close by. This lake is so wonderful. Boomhour Branch is in close proximity to South Pond and is always a bliss to explore; you'll probably meet some folks from Barre here. All the outdoors amusing stuff near South Pond will keep you

South Pond gets lots of water; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is usually the driest month. South Pond is one of the lakes here in the Green Mountains. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! South Pond is great! Dry warm beds await you at Sunset Motor Inn; don’t forget to explore Beaver Meadow since you're here at South Pond.

amusing stuff to do here in the Green Mountains. If the weather is gorgeous, you get a perfect vista of Bean Mountain from South Pond; a magnificent place to camp here at South Pond is Lakeview Camping Area. This lake is so wonderful.
Float down the rapids of Lamoille River - Wild Branch in a kayak; while you're here, you could also go to striking Gut Pond. If you need a site to stay Plaza Hotel is a great choice, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing
at close by Jay Peak.
You don’t have to go far from South Pond to catch a glimpse of the water at South Pond Dam, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Gihon River. Why not camp at Mountain View Campground since you're here at
South Pond; Devils Gap is also a pleasant site to explore. At South Pond through the summertime highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's; overnight lows in the 0's for South Pond.
