This site, the Green Mountains, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Winooski River has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot close by, and for you golfers we recommend close by Woodbury Golf Course. Head up to Stowe and strap some skis to your feet, and what would a site like Slayton Pond be without exciting nearby marks like Eagle Ledge. So many enjoyable things to do in the Green       Mountains, not sufficient time. Paddling on Minister Brook is so much fun, and Mountain View Campground is a perfect campground here. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Slayton Pond you will meet lots of people from nearby Barre, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Osmore Pond Hiking Loop. Slayton Pond is a delightful place to camp, Green Valley Campground is a delightful place, and the Owls Head Trail offers hiking at its best. You'll                  wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Slayton Pond. Not far from Slayton Pond, you'll find Blue Pond which is a pretty lake, and after a long day outdoors Village Motel is a great place to spend a night or two. Through the days of summer here at Slayton Pond, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's while Slayton Pond night low temperatures all through the winter are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Camp Mead Motor Court is a tremendous choice, and there's great hiking along the Kettle Pond Trail. Slayton Pond is located in the Green Mountains.
