    If you are in this part of Vermont make sure to pay a visit to Silver Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Green Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Falls of Lana Trail, and soar down the rapids of Otter Creek in a kayak.
This lake is so wonderful. The Chandler Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best, and get dripping wet paddling on Middlebury River. There's good hiking along the Silver Lake Trail, and lots
 
   of folks from Rutland come here. High temperatures at Silver Lake throughout the long summer days are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's; after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Silver Lake dip into the 0's.
So many amusing things to do here in the Green Mountains, too splendid to be true. There's so much to do here at Silver Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Point
 
               Counterpoint is a great spot for that, and why not take a little journey to Barnard Brook since you're here. Silver Lake gets a normal amount of annual rain; through August this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Green Mountains. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Falls of Lana; don't leave Silver Lake without first checking out Rattlesnake Point.
Looking for something right next door to Silver Lake? Fern Lake is around here, and you don’t have to go far from Silver Lake to make out the water at Silver Lake Dam. This lake is so wonderful. You're almost certainly hooked on lakes, Lake Dunmore is one of those close by, and Mount Moosalamoo is a peak you can catch a sight of from Silver Lake. All year is a glorious time in the Green Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. Hit the slopes at Sugarbush close at hand, and Courtyard By Marriott Middlebury is a great place to get some rest.
And that's not all you can do here at Silver Lake. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Mad River Glen; enjoy a round of golf at Neshobe Golf Club. That right there is a load already, but it keeps on going; Silver Lake has it all. Dry warm beds await you at The Middlebury Inn; you can stay the night at United State Forest Service Silver Lake Campground.
