Go to Sheldon Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. The warmest time of the year at Sheldon Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Pond is Bomoseen State Park Campground; hey, Sucker Creek is a wonderful local stream. This lake is so wonderful. Beaver Meadow is a wonderful place here at Sheldon Pond, and Cobble Knoll is a peak you can see from Sheldon Pond.
If you need a location to stay Lake Bomoseen Inn is a great choice, and there's a forest here called Fair Haven Municipal Forest. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Bomoseen Hiking Loop, and you can run
the rapids of Poultney River. Go for a hike on the Glen Lake Trail, and Prospect Bay Country Club is a great golf course close by. There's always Sheldon Dam to check out right next door to Sheldon Pond; a good close by hotel
is Edgewater Motel. Camping is available at Half Moon State Park Campground, and Glen Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by.
