Sheldon Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out; dry warm beds await you at Best Western Ticonderoga Inn & Suites. You're sure to run into some great people from Rutland here. This lake is so wonderful. The Bomoseen Hiking Loop is a brilliant hiking trail close to Sheldon Pond. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Sheldon Pond has to offer, you can camp at Bomoseen State Park Campground. No need to travel far to check out attention-grabbing

If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Sheldon Pond. Cobble Knoll is striking and can be seen from Sheldon Pond, and Fair Haven Municipal Forest is worth taking a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Sucker Creek is a delightful stream that is worth going to, and if you're here, do take a tour to O'Brien Point. | |

You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things at Sheldon Pond. You could also check out Howard Pond since you're here at Sheldon Pond; it's nearby, and Beaver Meadow is a lovely location any time of year.

usually are in the 80's at Sheldon Pond; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Sheldon Pond. A normal amount of rain falls

Country Village Campgrounds

Country Village Campground has 41 spacious sites that can accommodate small tents all the way up to the largest of campers. The bath house is clean and spacious with hot showers, and it is located right in the middle of the campground for easy access to all sites. A trip to Country Village Campground wouldn’t be complete without a visit to nearby Branbury State Park; nearby you hit upon the Silver Lake Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. Camping in Vermont is such a fun thing to do. All the nice local attractions in close proximity and the nice variety of outdoors recreation will certainly have you coming back persistently.

Rocky Pond
 | 18 miles away 4 PHOTOS Easy going trail from Mt Tabor to Rocky Pond, a 4 mile round trip, 1 1/2 to 2 hour hike. The hike is well worth seeing this breath taking pond. Very secluded & peaceful with tent sites and one or two shelters. Over night stays are 5.00 per person, per night. If you love 'roughing it' camping, this is a great place to go.  | 19 miles away White Rocks,great trail 0.8 miles up. Trails interstect with AT, check map before you go up. Two water falls on the left. First one could be risky to see always a wet gorge. Second is off the AT a short way. At the top is a rock art garden where a sign for White Rocks cliff trail 0.2 to overlook, great view west north and south.
