Don't leave Lake Shaftsbury without first paying a visit to Vermont Healing Springs; a pleasant site to go to nearby is Dry Brook Hollow. Trumbull Mountain is painless to spot from Lake Shaftsbury, and if you came for an overnight stay Holysmoke Camps is a great spot to camp. 0's. What would winter be without some skiing at Snow Valley, and Lake Shaftsbury is right by the Healing Springs Nature Trail. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Green Mountains. If you don’t have a problem
getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Roaring Branch, and Arlington State Forest is a forest that you can go to. North Bennington Reservoir is a perfect lake near Lake Shaftsbury; if you're stopping by from Bennington,
you won't be the only one. This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains. Having a pleasant time in the Green Mountains is easy. Battenkill River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby; there are other
spots here than Lake Shaftsbury, for example Millers Pond. Any time is a magnificent time at Lake Shaftsbury if you go for the outdoors. Howell's Camping Area is a great local campground, and do take a hike on the West Ridge Trail.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Green Mountains. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Stratton if you're here.
