Lake Shaftsbury is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Having a splendid time at Lake Shaftsbury is trouble-free. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Snow Valley is in the neighborhood of Lake Shaftsbury; a striking lake like North Bennington Reservoir is a magnificent spot to go to. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western New Englander Motor Inn is a nice site to get some rest; close by you discover the Healing Springs Nature Trail

| | which is a tremendous hiking trail. The skiing at Stratton is great, and you'll meet a lot of people from Bennington here. Lake Shaftsbury is a good place of normal rainfall; August is the month that gets the most rain while February is typically the driest month. Why not camp at Holysmoke Camps if you're here at Lake Shaftsbury, and if you need a spot to stay Alexandra B and B is a glorious choice. You just should love the Green Mountains. is a fine local campground, and do take a look at Lake Shaftsbury Dam while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. You might want to pay a visit to Dry Brook Hollow if you're here at Lake Shaftsbury, and whitewater paddling is
not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Battenkill River. So much exciting stuff near Lake Shaftsbury, truly remarkable. There are glorious places to explore along the Bald Mountain Trail, and a spree to Lake Shaftsbury
wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Vermont Healing Springs. Man, is there a load of amusing things to do in the Green Mountains. Lakes are such calm places, why not stop at Millers Pond close to Lake Shaftsbury. Through
the summertime, highs regularly are in the 80's at Lake Shaftsbury. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's while Lake Shaftsbury overnight low temperatures
during the winter are in the 0's. The Green Mountains scenery is always beautiful. The sight of scenic Trumbull Mountain near Lake Shaftsbury is brilliant, and do take some time to visit Arlington State Forest while you're here.
These mountains rock, just check out all the amusing things to do in the Green Mountains. Going for a hike on the West Ridge Trail is always a splendid adventure, and if you come at the right time of year, Roaring Branch offers some great whitewater.
