In Vermont there are many beautiful lakes, Shadow Lake is one of them. But wait, there's more to do near Shadow Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Shadow Lake has to offer, you can camp at Rustic Haven Campground, and if you come at the right time of year, Moose River offers some glorious whitewater. Shadow Lake is one of the lakes here in the Green Mountains. And that's not all there is to do here in the Green Mountains. Whitewater paddling
is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Ammonoosuc River, and there are pleasant locations to discover along the Cobble Hill Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Burke Mountain is a tremendous local ski area. There's so much to do here at Shadow Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Breezy Meadows Campground is a fine spot for that. Just can't get enough of the Green Mountains. Near Shadow Lake you come across the Bear Den Trail which is

a good hiking trail, needless to say you could also explore Moore Reservoir since you're here; it's not far at all.

All through the winter highs are usually in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Shadow Lake.
