Throughout the summer months at Seymour Lake temperatures are typically in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are mostly in the 20's with temperatures at Seymour Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Yeah, come here to Seymour Lake for a glorious time. Deer Hill is a peak you can       make out from Seymour Lake, and you can have a fine hiking adventure along the Herbert Hawkes Hiking Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Barton River in close proximity to Seymour Lake, and a nice close by hotel is Holiday Motel and Annex. There's whitewater on Clyde River for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and why not head up to Lyndon Outing Club and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the                  Mount Pisgah Trail, needless to say you could also stop at Echo Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. Seymour Lake is located in the Green Mountains. Be careful coming to the Green Mountains, you might not ever want to return back home again. If you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Derby/Newport Area is a delightful choice; hiking along the South Shore Hiking Trail is brilliant fun. Yeah, come up here to the Green Mountains for a pleasant time. Looking for some flowing water? Try Allyn Brook, and if you've had enough of Seymour Lake, Mud Pond is close by. Burke Mountain is a very popular ski area close by, and White Caps Campground is a pleasant campground nearby.
