This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Seymour Lake; Mount Pisgah East Trail is a magnificent local trail, and you can hit the slopes at Lyndon Outing Club in the vicinity. A lake nearby is Mud Pond; why not take a refreshing hike along the Mount Pisgah Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Green Mountains. There are some fine whitewater spots on Barton River, and getting to Sucker Brook from Seymour Lake is trouble-free.

Why not camp at Char- BO Campground while you're here at Seymour Lake, and Burke Mountain has splendid slopes and a friendly staff. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Motel and Annex. The Pisgah Trail offers hiking at its best, and Echo Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by. For the duration of the warm days of summer at Seymour Lake highs are mostly in the 70's. night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Seymour Lake. Seymour Lake gets a normal amount of yearly precipitation;
August is the month that gets the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is located in the wonderful Green Mountains. All the outdoors exciting stuff in the Green Mountains will keep you coming back over
and over. Elan Hill is clearly visible from Seymour Lake, and Super 8 Motel - Derby/Newport Area is a wonderful location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. A great spot to camp here at Seymour Lake is Chargo Campground, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Clyde River.

It is a lake that talks to you, as far as my opinion goes. I lived in Newport,Newport Center (Bear Mountain) and Noth Troy when I was bewtween the ages of 9-13. I am now 42!
I just recently went back to Newport and that beautiful lake that talked to me, and i think it helped me figure out a part of my life that has been a little bit difficult to understand and move ahead. I Do have somr pictures in some old photo albumd, and I will make an effort to submit, Agian I am Surprised I am the first to comment on this Lake, it is ,as far as I am concerned one of the wonder of NEW ENGLAND!... |
