Scott Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Scott Pond, for example Shelburne Pond, and if you need a place to stay Burlington-Days Inn Shelburne is a perfect choice. Good hiking is available along the Abbey Pond Trail, and an afternoon playing golf at Cedar Knoll Country Club is always a bliss. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Lewis Creek; not far from Scott Pond

| | you'll stumble on Cedar Lake which is a stunning lake. This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Cochran Ski Center is one of those things you just must do, and there's delightful hiking along the Beaver Meadow Trail. You can never get enough of the good skiing at Mad River Glen. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. There's so much to do here at Scott Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Old Lantern Campground is a tremendous | |

spot for that; the Jerusalem Trail offers hiking at its best. There's whitewater on New Haven River for all you adrenaline people, and dry warm beds await you at T-Bird Motor Inn. Scott Pond is wonderful enough to spend more than
a day at, Shelburne Camping Area is a wonderful local campground; here at Scott Pond you can catch a glimpse of Mount Fuller. All through the summertime highs here at Scott Pond get into the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer
temperatures sink down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Scott Pond temperatures descend to the 0's. Scott Pond is a good spot of common rainfall; most of the rain falls through August, and the driest month of the year is February.

 | Winona Lake, or as it is known to the locals, Bristol Pond is Vermonts only 'real Peet bog'. The Lake offers about 100 acres of flat water...good for exploring in the canoe. The lake has a healthy population of very aggressive watersnakes, non-poisoness, but they like to get in boats...if you are curious about these creatures go to the two small Islands for a look.... |

Second is off the AT a short way. At the top is a rock art garden where a sign for White Rocks cliff trail 0.2 to overlook, great view west north and south. The peak was quite higher at one time in the past. Looking down over the cliff edge are three seperate rock falls which is the old peak.... |
