If you are traveling by, why not stop by Said Pond. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Beaver Meadow is right close by; Said Dam has great water scenery. Dry warm beds await you at Lake Bomoseen Inn, and if you're here, you could also go to wonderful Black Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Said Pond there are plenty of people from Rutland; nearby you locate the Bomoseen Hiking Loop which is a good hiking trail. High temperatures at Said Pond during

All through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Said Pond. From a rain point of view Said Pond is a reasonably common spot; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is February. Pond, and after a long day outdoors Edgewater Motel is a nice place to spend a night or two. From Said Pond you get a pleasant vista of Cedar Mountain. But wait, there's more to do near Said Pond. The Half Moon Pond Trail is a
great hiking trail in the vicinity of Said Pond. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Said Pond has to offer, you can camp at Half Moon State Park Campground. This lake is so wonderful. O'Brien Point is close by and always
pleasant to explore. There's so much to do here at Said Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Bomoseen State Park Campground is a brilliant place for that. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Poultney River, and if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Glen Lake Trail.
