The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Said Pond. stop by O'Brien Point when you're here at Said Pond; while you're here, you could also go to stunning Moscow Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Poultney River,
and there is a splendid hiking trail nearby called the Half Moon Pond Trail. Said Dam is not far at all from Said Pond, and swamps are attention-grabbing locations and Beaver Meadow in the neighborhood of Said Pond is no exception.
Now, you may assume that's loads but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Said Pond. Halfmoon Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and close by you discover the Bomoseen Hiking Loop which is a perfect hiking
trail. Why not camp at Half Moon State Park Campground while you're here at Said Pond, and golf can be played at Prospect Bay Country Club.

Country Village Campgrounds

Brandon is a well-known artist's village that is famous for several galleries shops and restaurants, and home to the well-know artist Warren Kimball. There are also many wonderful events held in the village including weekly farmers markets, and several festivals and parades throughout the year.
Country Village Campground has 41 spacious sites that can accommodate small tents all the way up to the largest of campers. The bath house is clean and spacious with hot showers, and it is located right in the middle of the campground for easy access to all sites. A trip to Country Village Campground wouldn’t be complete without a visit to nearby Branbury State Park; nearby you hit upon the Silver Lake Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. Camping in Vermont is such a fun thing to do. All the nice local attractions in close proximity and the nice variety of outdoors recreation will certainly have you coming back persistently.

Rocky Pond
 | 15 miles away 4 PHOTOS Easy going trail from Mt Tabor to Rocky Pond, a 4 mile round trip, 1 1/2 to 2 hour hike. The hike is well worth seeing this breath taking pond. Very secluded & peaceful with tent sites and one or two shelters. Over night stays are 5.00 per person, per night. If you love 'roughing it' camping, this is a great place to go.  | 16 miles away White Rocks,great trail 0.8 miles up. Trails interstect with AT, check map before you go up. Two water falls on the left. First one could be risky to see always a wet gorge. Second is off the AT a short way. At the top is a rock art garden where a sign for White Rocks cliff trail 0.2 to overlook, great view west north and south. The peak was quite higher at one time in the past. Looking down over the cliff edge are three seperate rock falls which is the old peak.... |
