Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Green Mountains. Don't leave Sabin Pond without first going for a hike along the Osmore Pond Hiking Loop, and don't leave Sabin Pond without first paying a visit to Blake Falls. Camp Mead Motor Court is a great site to get some rest; Sabin Pond is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Spooners Trailer Park and Campground is a glorious local campground.       The good people of Barre like to hang out close by, and whitewater paddling is good on Winooski River. This lake is located in the wonderful Green Mountains. This is no location for people who don’t like to have a good time. Paddling on Lamoille River - Wild Branch is so much fun; lakes are such calm places, why not visit Forest Lake. Summertime brings highs in the 60's to Sabin Pond with night lows in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the                  10's while the cold winter nights at Sabin Pond are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Kettle Pond Trail is always a tremendous adventure, and some of the water close by flows, like Buck Lake Brook. Go for a hike on the Owls Head Trail, and you get a delightful sight of Foster Hill from here. The high level of rainfall makes Sabin Pond a relatively wet place; August is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. A good site to camp here at Sabin Pond is Onion River Campground, and golf can be played at Woodbury Golf Course. If you adore the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Sabin Pond. But wait, there's more entertaining stuff to do in the Green Mountains.
