     This place, Russ Pond, it definitely has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. This lake is located in the wonderful Green Mountains. After a long day outdoors Commodores Inn is a delightful place to spend a night or two, and probably you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Hardwood Pond is just a very short distance away.
The warmest time of the year at Russ Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's. Through
 
   the winter highs are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Russ Pond are in the 0's. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Green Mountains. Barnes Brook is a nice place to pop by; hiking is a popular thing to do around Russ Pond; Dalley Loop Trail is a pleasant local trail. Yeah, come here to Russ Pond for a nice time. The Inn at Montpelier is a wonderful site to get some rest, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Winooski  
               River.
Stowe has wonderful slopes and a friendly staff, and at Russ Pond you always meet someone from Barre. If you came to camp Green Valley Campground is a wonderful place to do that; there's perfect hiking along the Kettle Pond Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Hedgehop Hill Loop Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Minister Brook offers some great whitewater.
This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Smugglers Notch in the vicinity, and playing golf is lots of fun at Copley Golf Course. Russ Pond gets a great deal of water; during August this area sees the most rain while February is regularly the driest month. This place, the Green Mountains, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. There's so much to do here at Russ Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Mountain View Campground is a delightful place for that, and if you've had enough of Russ Pond, Little Elmore Pond is close by.
