Rush Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. So many entertaining things in the Green Mountains, just amazing. Bean Mountain is simple to spot from Rush Pond, and Plaza Hotel is a delightful site to get some rest. There's tremendous hiking along the Haselton Trail, and everyone loves Beaver Meadow. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Gihon River; Boomhour Branch is in close proximity to Rush Pond and
is always a joy to explore.
This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Stowe, and a round of golf at nearby Farm Resort & Golf Course is a good way to kill some time. A great deal of rain falls at Rush Pond; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in close proximity to Rush Pond. This is a magnificent

area for people who like lakes. Gut Pond is a lake close at hand, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Lamoille River - Wild Branch.
Through the long summer days here at Rush Pond, high temperatures mostly get into the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are typically in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Rush Pond drop into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. What a site this is for outdoors people. Rush Pond is close to Devils Gap which is undeniably worth a visit, and not far from Rush Pond you acquire some brilliant water scenery at South Pond Dam. Just can't get enough of the Green Mountains. Why not camp at Mountain View Campground if you're here at Rush Pond. And that's not everything you can do here in the Green Mountains. If you're going to Rush Pond from Barre, you won't be the only one, and don't leave Rush Pond without first going for a hike along the The Long Trail.
A splendid nearby hotel is Sunset Motor Inn, and Jay Peak has glorious slopes and a friendly staff.
