Its official, Spruce Peak at Stowe has come to life and a new legacy of visitors, experiences and environmental stewardship are affirming Stowe's century-long reputation as a world-class destination. No single project will touch more visitors in Stowe this winter than the new Spruce Camp base lodge, scheduled to open in December for the 2008-2009 ski season. The Spruce Camp will be Stowe Mountain Resort's central source for skier and snowboarder services. Jay Peak
 | 16 miles away 5 PHOTOS Jay Peak is 385 acres and 2,153 vertical feet of glades, bumps, groomers, and parks. Eight lifts, including Vermont's only aerial tramway, access 76 trails, 4 terrain parks for all abilities, and on average, 376 inches of natural snow every season. Jay Peak is well known for its glades and extreme chutes but there's more to the mountain than just expert terrain ? like The Zone, Jay Peak's learning area, which includes 4 lifts that access 11 trails and introductory glades.... Hmm? Jay Peak seems like it has two peaks, shouldn't it be called Jay Peaks? But other than the confusing name I have no complaints. Lots of good runs.... |
