You can run the rapids of Barton River right next door to Runaway Pond, and why not camp at Belview Campground since you're here at Runaway Pond. You can see Black Hills from Runaway Pond, and hiking along the Herbert Hawkes Hiking Trail is perfect fun. A great nearby hotel is Fairbanks Inn, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Burke Mountain if       you're here. This lake is so wonderful. A lovely lake like Clarks Pond in close proximity to Runaway Pond is a nice site to stop by; if you're here you can take a hike along the Mount Pisgah Trail. Going for a hike along the South Shore Hiking Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region; do pop by Horse Pond, it's a scenic lake. Yeah, come up here to the Green Mountains for a glorious time. Getting to Morrison Brook from Runaway Pond is uncomplicated,                  and Shadow Lake Dam is a pretty place. An average amount of rainfall falls at Runaway Pond; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Runaway Pond is a beautiful lake in the Green Mountains. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing things the area near Runaway Pond has to offer.
