From Round Pond you get a splendid panorama of Brock Hill, and you'll possibly meet some folks from Lebanon here. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Fairbanks Inn is a nice location to spend a night or two, and not far from Round Pond you'll come across Muddy Pond which is a wonderful lake. Round Pond is one of the lakes here in the Green Mountains. Round Pond gets a common       amount of precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Round Pond; Peacham Bog Trail is a great local trail; Round Pond is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Ricker Campground is a splendid local campground. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Green Mountains. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Long Pond, and                  why not take a little tour to Egypt Brook since you're here. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Waits River, and great hiking is available along the Wrights Mountain Trail. What a place this is for outdoors folks. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Wells River. There's so much to do here at Round Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Pleasant Valley Camp Grounds is a delightful location for that. Summertime highs at Round Pond ordinarily tend to be in the 80's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 50's. Highs during the winter are generally in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Round Pond temperatures dip to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
