Why not stop by Round Pond if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Bayley Hazen Military Road Trail, and Round Pond is not far at all from Barre. These mountains rock, just look at all the cool stuff to do in the Green Mountains. A trip to Beaver Meadow revives the spirit; the slopes of Jay Peak are so inviting noone can resist. Round Pond is a beautiful lake in the Green Mountains.

| | so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Plaza Hotel is a great choice, and at Round Pond you can spot The Knob. If you're here at Round Pond, you could have a look at Boomhour Branch, and Lake Eden is a nearby lake that you could check out. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff close to Round Pond will keep you coming back again and again.

Inn. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Gihon River, also Lake Eden Dam is worth taking a look at since you're here. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! Round Pond rocks! A great
spot to camp here at Round Pond is Mountain View Campground, and what would winter be without some skiing at Stowe.
You simply have to have a thing about the Green Mountains. Round Pond is nice enough to spend more than a day
at, Lakeview Camping Area is a nice local campground; a tremendous place to pop by is Devils Gap. Round Pond usually gets a lot of rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest. Summertime
highs at Round Pond regularly tend to be in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are regularly in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Round Pond are in the 0's.
