There's nice hiking along the Island Farm Nature Trail; you'll almost certainly meet some folks from Burlington-South Burlington here. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Round Pond without first going for a hike along the West Shore Trail; Round Pond is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Lone Pine Campsites is a delightful local campground. So much exciting stuff to do at Round       Pond, so little time. There's whitewater on Salmon River for all you adrenaline kick people. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Browns River, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Long Pond. Summertime at Round Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. During the winter highs are mostly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight                  here at Round Pond. There are great places to look at along the Southern Tip Trail; a great close by hotel is Quality Inn. This lake is so wonderful. A golf course in close proximity to Round Pond is Arrowhead Golf Course, and after a long day outdoors Hilton Burlington is a perfect place to spend a night or two. Camping at Malletts Bay Campground is always a perfect experience, and the top of Fox Hill is easily seen from Round Pond. Just can't get enough of Round Pond. Clay Point is close at hand and always good to take a look at. Lakes? Sure, Round Pond is in close proximity. Lamoille River is a great local stream, and skiing at Cochran Ski Center is one of those things you just must do.
