If you are traveling by, why not stop by Rood Pond. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Green Mountains. If you came to camp Lake Champagne Campground is a good spot to do that, and close by Williamstown Gulf is a great site to go. So many fun things to do in the Green Mountains, not enough time. After a long day outdoors Green Trails Inn is a great spot to spend a night or two, and you can run the rapids of Mad River. A typical amount of precipitation

Holdens Pond is a pleasant lake in close proximity to Rood Pond, and Patterson and Holden Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out. Rood Pond. This lake is so wonderful.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a tremendous time here at Rood Pond. There's so much to do here at Rood Pond that you need
to camp here for a while, Limehurst Lake is a wonderful spot for that, and you can hit the slopes at Twin Farms in close proximity. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn At Maplewood is a glorious choice,
and great hiking is available along the Bear Hill Trail.
There's whitewater on White River - First Branch for all you adrenaline kick people, and you're sure to bump into some nice people from Barre here.
