Twin Farms has wonderful slopes and a friendly staff, and you can stay the night at Lake Champagne Campground. And if that's not enough there's plenty more enjoyable stuff to do in the Green Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit White River - First Branch, and Patterson and Holden Dam is a site that is close to Rood Pond. And if you're still looking for more outdoors amusing stuff just keep reading. Lakes? Sure, Twin Ponds       is in close proximity, and if you need a site to stay Comfort Inn & Suites at Maplewood is a great choice. If you feel like a little side tour, try Williamstown Gulf, and Hilltop Inn is a brilliant site to get some rest. Go for a hike on the Bear Hill Trail, and Limehurst Lake is a pleasant campground nearby. The amount of rainfall that falls at Rood Pond is close to the national average; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February                  meanwhile is the driest month. High temperatures at Rood Pond through the warm days of summer are in the 70's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
