Roach Pond is a nice lake to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Visit Giddings Brook while you're here at Roach Pond; whitewater paddling is brilliant on Otter Creek. After a long day outdoors Edgewater Motel is a good place to spend a night or two, and if the weather is magnificent, you can go for a hike along the Daniel Coffey Memorial Trial. Not far from Roach Pond, you'll come across Austin Pond which is a charming lake, and if you came for an overnight stay

On a magnificent day at Roach Pond you can take a hike along the Half Moon Pond Trail. Be careful coming to Roach Pond, you might not ever want to go back home again. There is a splendid hiking trail near Roach Pond called the Bomoseen Hiking Loop, and Big D Campground is a delightful campground here. Barber Ledge is something you shouldn't miss since you're here at Roach Pond; during your journey here you'll meet
some folks from Rutland for sure. This lake is so wonderful. Why not stop at Austin Pond Dam while you're here; get covered with water paddling on Poultney River. If you need a spot to stay Hotel Trakenseen is a glorious choice; for
you golfers we recommend close by Prospect Bay Country Club.
During the warmest time of the year highs here at Roach Pond get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime
are normally in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Roach Pond temperatures sink to the 0's.
