     Why not visit close by Bascom Brook since you're here at Richville Pond, and the Glen Lake Trail is a fine hiking trail nearby. Be careful coming to Richville Pond, you might not ever wanna go home again. Lakes are such calm places, why not check out Choate Pond near Richville Pond, and if you need a place to stay The Middlebury Inn is a brilliant choice. If you're interested in cool geologic characteristics, try The Pinnacle, and at Richville Pond you can make  
   out Cutting Hill. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Richville Pond.
A great site to camp here at Richville Pond is Half Moon State Park Campground, and Richville Pond is a place with many visitors from Rutland. Richville Pond is a good site of normal rain; August is when you get the most rain here while January is typically the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Richville Pond you can take a hike
 
               along the Daniel Coffey Memorial Trial, and you'll come across a beautiful lake called Fortier Pond.
Why not camp at Lake Dunmore Kamperville since you're here at Richville Pond, and magnificent water scenery is available at Richville Dam next to Richville Pond. Courtyard Middlebury is a perfect place to get some rest, and get covered with water paddling on Otter Creek. Throughout the warm days of summer here at Richville Pond, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's while Richville Pond overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's.
This lake is so wonderful. On a good day at Richville Pond you can take a hike along the Half Moon Pond Trail; soar down the rapids of La Chute River in a kayak.

... a lot of cool stuff to do next to Country Village Campground, and it's one of those places where everything is close.

If only every location had this much outdoor entertaining stuff, what a great planet it would be. A tremendous place like Half Moon Pond State Park is near Country Village Campground and is too wonderful to leave out, and going for a hike on the Falls of Lana Trail is always a perfect adventure. All through the warm days of summer at Country Village Campground highs are mostly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 0's. When the weather is good here at Country Village Campground, you can go for a hike along the Chandler Ridge Trail, and the friendly people of Brandon like to hang out nearby. The Duval Trail is a delightful hiking trail next to Country Village Campground, and a day on Pico Mountain is just what you need.

White Rocks,great trail 0.8 miles up. Trails interstect with AT, check map before you go up. Two water falls on the left. First one could be risky to see always a wet gorge. Second is off the AT a short way. At the top is a rock art garden where a sign for White Rocks cliff trail 0.2 to overlook, great view west north and south. The peak was quite higher at one time in the past. Looking down over the cliff edge are three seperate rock falls which is the old peak....
