The Green Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! Reading Pond is excellent! Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Williams River. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Green Mountains. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Okemo since you're here, and dry warm beds await you at Jackson Gore Inn on       Okemo Mountain. Skiing at Suicide Six is one of those things you just must do. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Reading Pond has to offer, you can camp at Meadow Brook Campgrounds. Reading Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Reading Pond without first going for a hike along the Mount                  Peg Foot and Bridal Trails, and if you need a location to stay The Pointe at Castle Hill Resort is a wonderful choice. That right there is a heap of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Green Mountains has it all. Colby Pond Dam is worth a visit if you're here; Reading Pond is not the only spot nearby, Echo Lake is a nearby lake. Going for a hike on the Barnard Trail is always a brilliant adventure; why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Okemo Valley Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. The sight of The Alps from Reading Pond is gorgeous, and a lake nearby is Colby Pond. And if you're still looking for more outdoors amusing things just keep reading. There are good places to look at along the Juggernaut Trail, and Black River has a splendid whitewater paddling spot nearby. Throughout the long summer days highs here at Reading Pond get into the 80's, and the night is slightly cooler of course, frequently in the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Reading Pond.
