If you are in Chittenden county it's always a good idea to stop by Preston Pond. This lake is located in the wonderful Green Mountains. But wait, there's more entertaining stuff to do in the Green Mountains. If you need a site to stay Stowe Mountain Lodge is a fine choice, and if you're here you can play some golf at West Bolton Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. Cochran Ski Center is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood, and the Sawmill Loop

| | Trail is a delightful hiking trail close by. Having a great time in the Green Mountains is trouble-free. There are other places here than Preston Pond, for example Richmond Pond; going for a hike on the Dalley Loop Trail is always a perfect adventure. All through the warmest time of the year, highs commonly are in the 80's at Preston Pond. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. I'm havin' a good time here at Preston Pond. Stowe Inn at The Mountain and Condominiums is a perfect place to get some rest; Bolton Valley has splendid slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do
here at Preston Pond that you need to camp here for a while, South Hill Riverside Campground is a magnificent location for that; the wonderful folks of Burlington-South Burlington like to hang out nearby. Whitewater paddling is
good on Huntington River; nearby you hit upon the Nose Dive Trail which is a good hiking trail. From a rainfall point of view Preston Pond is a rather typical place; the wettest month of the year is typically August, that's the one that rains the most, and February on the other hand is the driest.
