Pine Pond is a nice lake to visit. This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty of people from Rutland here at Pine Pond; do take a hike on the Half Moon Pond Trail. If only every spot had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great world it would be. The peak of Bull Hill can be seen from Pine Pond, and Pine Pond is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Big D Campground is a glorious local campground. Do schedule some time to have a look at Cedar Point

| | next to Pine Pond if you have a chance. There's so much to do here at Pine Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Bomoseen Camp Ground is a good spot for that. Pine Pond gets a normal amount of rainfall; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. Pond Hill Brook is near Pine Pond and is always a diversion to stop at, and Highlander Motel is a fine place to get some rest. And if | |

that's not enough, there's a load more to do near Pine Pond. After a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Rutland is a glorious spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Loves Marsh is near Pine Pond,
and the Bomoseen Hiking Loop offers hiking at its best. Poultney River is a pleasant whitewater spot near Pine Pond, naturally you could also explore Lake Bomoseen if you're here; it's not far at all. High temperatures at Pine Pond
during the warm months are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's, and overnight lows at Pine Pond throughout the winter usually sink into the 0's. Pine Pond Dam is an out of the ordinary
thing to check out, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Glen Lake Trail. If you're a golfer then a magnificent nearby course is Prospect Bay Country Club, and some great nature is available in Castleton Municipal Forest.

Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Fern Lake which is small and pristine. At this campground you will always have a delightful time. Getting to Neshobe River from Country Village Campground is simple, and Middlebury River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby.
Outdoor recreation is bountiful, some of the enjoyable stuff you can do is swimming, playing golf at Neshobe Golf Club, whitewater paddling, hiking, and fishing, so you won’t run out of things to do.
The folks who look after the campground and all the nice pastime activities will make you feel at home. Quite a lot of cool stuff to do next to Country Village Campground, and it's one of those places where everything is close.

Second is off the AT a short way. At the top is a rock art garden where a sign for White Rocks cliff trail 0.2 to overlook, great view west north and south.
