In Vermont there are many beautiful lakes, Pigeon Pond is one of them. This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains. Having a nice time in the Green Mountains is easy. Stay the night at New Discovery Campground; a lake close by is Mud Pond. During the warmest time of the year highs here at Pigeon Pond reach the 70's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's

Pigeon Pond is a perfect spot to visit for more than one day, Stillwater Campground is a perfect spot to camp nearby, and great hiking is available along the Kettle Pond Trail. After a long day outdoors Barre-Days Inn Barre/Montpelier is a great place to spend a night or two, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Pigeon Pond; Owls Head Trail is a good local trail. do close to Pigeon Pond. If you get bored of Pigeon Pond, you could also go to nearby Noyes Pond, and a tour to Boulder Beach is always a nice idea. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting things the Green Mountains
has to offer. If you need a place to stay Hollow Inn and Motel is a fine choice; Little Spruce Mountain is a peak you can see from Pigeon Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A fine site for whitewater paddling near Pigeon Pond is Waits
River, and folks from Barre love to come here. Get your pulse rate up on the glorious whitewater of Winooski River. Go for a hike on the Silver Ledge Trail; why not pop by Noyes Pond Dam while you're here. A common amount of rainfall
falls here at Pigeon Pond; August is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
