The Green Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! The Green Mountains is excellent!. Piedmont Pond is a good spot of typical rainfall; the wettest month of the year is generally August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Hapgood Pond - Green Mountain National Forest is a good       local campground, and there are some good whitewater spots on Clarendon River. Going for a hike on the South Pond Trail is always a good adventure, and Lower Eddy Pond is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. And if that's not enough there's heaps more cool stuff to do in the Green Mountains. While you're here at Piedmont Pond, you could also stop at beautiful Combination Pond; the slopes of Pico Mountain are so inviting noone can resist. There's                  some flowing water close by, Mussey Brook is a stream you can stop at while here; since you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Rutland. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Gotta ski! Killington is a glorious location to do that, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Mill River. Now, you may believe that's a heap but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Piedmont Pond. Iroquios Land Family is a tremendous campground nearby, and if you need a place to stay Rodeway Inn Rutland is a splendid choice. This lake is so wonderful. There are great places to discover along the Bucklin Trail, and Rutland Municipal Forest is a fine local forest. Now, you may feel that's loads but there's even more fun things to do here in the Green Mountains. Near Piedmont Pond you locate the Canty Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail; a wonderful close by hotel is Comfort Inn Trolley Square. Summertime highs at Piedmont Pond mostly tend to be in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Piedmont Pond drop into the 0's.
