High temperatures at Pickett Pond all through the summer are in the 80's; the overnight is slightly chillier of course, frequently in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's; nighttime lows during the winter for Pickett Pond tend to be in the 0's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains. | | Inn and Motel is a tremendous spot to get some rest. Any time is a good time at Pickett Pond if you like the outdoors. Pickett Pond is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Spooners Trailer Park and Campground is a perfect place to camp nearby, and if you need a place to stay Days Inn Barre Montpelier is a good choice. Head Trail. This lake is so wonderful. East Long Pond is a great lake close to Pickett Pond, and don't leave Pickett Pond without first going for a hike along the Kettle Pond Trail. Idle Hours Campground is a great local campground,
and there's always East Long Pond Dam to visit near Pickett Pond. This place rocks, just explore all the amusing stuff to do in close proximity to Pickett Pond. Round Knoll can be spotted from Pickett Pond, and if you're here you
can play some golf at Woodbury Golf Course. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Green Mountains. A charming lake like Mud Pond in the neighborhood of Pickett Pond is a nice spot to check out, and hiking is a popular thing to
do around Pickett Pond; Osmore Pond Hiking Loop is a great local trail. A swamp like Martell Swamp right next door to Pickett Pond has lots of interesting things to see, and you're sure to encounter some great folks from Barre here.
Pickett Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is February.
