     Nearby lakes? Sure, Doughty Pond is close to Perch Pond, and there are some good whitewater spots on Poultney River. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Perch Pond while overnight lows are typically in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Perch Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel Ticonderoga, and the Glen Lake Trail is a tremendous hiking trail nearby. This place, Perch Pond, it  
   completely has so much outdoors fun stuff.
During your trip to Perch Pond you'll meet some folks from Rutland for sure; Prospect Bay Country Club is a golf course close by. If the weather is gorgeous, you obtain a good view of Bishop Hill from Perch Pond, and there's some interesting stuff to see at Sunrise Lake Dam near Perch Pond. While you're here at Perch Pond you can take a hike along the Daniel Coffey Memorial Trial; camping at Bomoseen State Park
 
               Campground is always a glorious experience.
Yeah, come here to Perch Pond for a glorious time. A tremendous swamp right next door to Perch Pond is Conway Swamp; you're probably into lakes, Sunset Lake is one of those close by. Perch Pond gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Ticonderoga Inn & Suites is a fine site to get some rest, and you need to explore Arnolds Ledge if you're here.
This lake is so wonderful. Perch Pond is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Half Moon State Park Campground is a brilliant local campground, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Half Moon Pond Trail.

A trip to Country Village Campground wouldn’t be complete without a visit to nearby Branbury State Park; nearby you hit upon the Silver Lake Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. Camping in Vermont is such a fun thing to do. All the nice local attractions in close proximity and the nice variety of outdoors recreation will certainly have you coming back persistently.

Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Fern Lake which is small and pristine.
At this campground you will always have a delightful time. Getting to Neshobe River from Country Village Campground is simple, and Middlebury River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby.

Outdoor recreation is bountiful, some of the enjoyable stuff you can do is swimming, playing golf at Neshobe Golf Club, whitewater paddling, hiking, and fishing, so you won’t run out of things to do.

White Rocks,great trail 0.8 miles up. Trails interstect with AT, check map before you go up. Two water falls on the left. First one could be risky to see always a wet gorge. Second is off the AT a short way. At the top is a rock art garden where a sign for White Rocks cliff trail 0.2 to overlook, great view west north and south. The peak was quite higher at one time in the past. Looking down over the cliff edge are three seperate rock falls which is the old peak....
