If you come at the right time of year, Gihon River offers some great whitewater, and skiing at Smugglers Notch is one of those things you just should do. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Bayley Hazen Military Road Trail; there are plenty of people from Barre here at Perch Pond. So much amusing stuff to do here at Perch Pond, too fine to be true.
You could also go to Clear Pond if you're here at Perch Pond; it's nearby, and a lake close by is Zack Woods Pond. And if that's not enough there's lots more amusing things to do in the Green Mountains. Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Kettle Pond Trail; some pleasant nature is available in Morrisville Village Forest. Perch Pond is located in the Green Mountains.

Every project at the resort has been done to address growing customer trends and cater to and all those who desire an experience that's both diverse and authentic. The new mountainside community called Spruce Peak at Stowe offers the intimacy of a charming New England village with exceptional quality and amenities never before seen in the East. The pedestrian plaza will be a lively hub this winter with shopping, dining, interactive ice-carving & igloo building, live music, camp fires with outdoor seating and complimentary/make-your-own smores.
Stowe Mountain Resort maintains a strong commitment to the environment at every step of its operations and development. An Environmental Charter guides all aspects of every project in a way that preserves the area's ecological viability. This includes designating 2,000 acres of the surrounding forest for wildlife preservation and a host of environmental accomplishments. In 2007 Stowe was the first mountain resort in the U.S. to earn Audubon International's 'Green Community Aw...

Jay Peak is 385 acres and 2,153 vertical feet of glades, bumps, groomers, and parks. Eight lifts, including Vermont's only aerial tramway, access 76 trails, 4 terrain parks for all abilities, and on average, 376 inches of natural snow every season. Jay Peak is well known for its glades and extreme chutes but there's more to the mountain than just expert terrain ? like The Zone, Jay Peak's learning area, which includes 4 lifts that access 11 trails and introductory glades....
Hmm? Jay Peak seems like it has two peaks, shouldn't it be called Jay Peaks? But other than the confusing name I have no complaints. Lots of good runs....

...ion puts our total number of groomers at five and will allow us to provide a better quality skiing and riding surface over more of the mountain more often.

Guests will also notice a new look in the main lodge's cafeteria. Bolton Valley has invested in new tables and seating to provide more comfort for those taking a break for a cup of cocoa or having a bite to eat.

The rental fleet has been upgraded with several new skis from Rossignol and boards from Burton.

For the 2009-2010 season we are further improving our green initiative by adding a Wind Turbine to the top of the Vista Quad. This Wind Turbine will offset a proportion of our energy consumption.
