Peabody Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. A good close by hotel is Jackson Gore Inn on Okemo Mountain; since you're here you can take a hike along the Jones Brook Trail. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a pleasant time here at Peabody Pond. You'll meet a lot of people from Rutland here, and hiking along the Little Michigan Trail is magnificent fun. This lake is so wonderful. Get dripping wet paddling on Big Branch.

| | warm days of summer highs here at Peabody Pond reach the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are typically in the 30's while Peabody Pond nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. All year is a great time in the Green Mountains if you love the outdoors. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Magic Mountain; you can stay the night at Horseshoe Acres | |

Camp Grounds. This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains.
Holt Mountain is a peak you can catch a glimpse of from Peabody Pond; you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Utley Brook Trail. A good
deal of precipitation falls at Peabody Pond; August is when you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Peabody Pond has to offer,
you can camp at Otter Creek Campground; whitewater paddling is tremendous on West River.
So many amusing things to do here in the Green Mountains, too perfect to be true. If you need a place to stay Winterplace on Okemo Mountain is a great choice, and why not head up to Bromley and strap some skis to your feet.
