If you are traveling by, why not stop by Patch Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Patch Pond; South Pond Trail is a nice local trail; why not a little side spree to East Creek. Lakes are such serene spots, why not stop at Dunklee Pond near Patch Pond, and there's fine hiking along the New Boston Trail. But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the Green Mountains. | | Forest is a perfect place to do that, and you can hit the slopes at Killington close at hand.
You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Patch Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Iroquios Land Family is a great local campground, and soar down the rapids of Clarendon River in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. slopes and a friendly staff. If you come at the right time of year, Mill River offers some great whitewater, and delightful hiking is available along the Canty Trail.
The amount of rain that falls at Patch Pond is close to the
national average; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest month of the year is February. Very wonderful water scenery is available at Patch Dam in the neighborhood of Patch Pond, and there's a great forest called
Rutland Municipal Forest. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Green Mountains. Enjoy a round of golf at Rutland Country Club not far from Patch Pond, and Patch Pond is a location with many visitors from Rutland.
Life's too
short to enjoy all the enjoyable things near Patch Pond. Highlander Motel is a wonderful place to get some rest. This lake is located in the wonderful Green Mountains. For the duration of the summertime months highs here at Patch
Pond reach the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Patch Pond are in the 0's.
