Going for a hike on the Kettle Pond Trail is always a great adventure, and Thurman W. Dix Reservoir is a fine lake close by. Winooski River is a wonderful whitewater spot in close proximity to Orange Reservoir, and camping is available at Onion River Campground. Having a brilliant time in the Green Mountains is painless. in close proximity to Orange Reservoir you'll find a wooded vicinity called Barre City Municipal Forest, and Country Club of Barre is a fine golf

| | course nearby. For the duration of the summertime months, highs frequently are in the 70's at Orange Reservoir, and the night is quite chillier of course, mostly in the 50's.
