     Going for a hike on the Kettle Pond Trail is always a great adventure, and Thurman W. Dix Reservoir is a fine lake close by. Winooski River is a wonderful whitewater spot in close proximity to Orange Reservoir, and camping is available at Onion River Campground. Having a brilliant time in the Green Mountains is painless. in close proximity to Orange Reservoir you'll find a wooded vicinity called Barre City Municipal Forest, and Country Club of Barre is a fine golf  
   course nearby.
For the duration of the summertime months, highs frequently are in the 70's at Orange Reservoir, and the night is quite chillier of course, mostly in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Orange Reservoir. Orange Reservoir is located in the Green Mountains. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. After a long day outdoors Hollow Inn and Motel is a splendid place to spend a
 
               night or two.
If you're here at Orange Reservoir, you could have a look at Baker Brook, and in case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Waits River. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Orange Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Owls Head Trail, and there are other locations here than Orange Reservoir, for example Lower Orange Reservoir. Orange Reservoir is a good place of typical rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture.
Now, you may assume that's lots but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Orange Reservoir. This is a popular place for people from Barre, and Cobble Hill is a peak you can observe from Orange Reservoir. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun things the Green Mountains has to offer. If you need a place to stay Days Inn Barre Montpelier is a great choice, and there are great locations to explore along the Silver Ledge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lower Orange Reservoir Dam is not far at all from Orange Reservoir; a pleasant spot to camp here at Orange Reservoir is Lazy Lions Campground.
