A nice nearby hotel is Best Western Ticonderoga Inn & Suites; at Old Marsh Pond you always meet someone from Rutland. Don't forget to take a glorious little visit to Sucker Creek, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Bomoseen Hiking Loop. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Old Marsh Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Bomoseen State Park Campground is a perfect site for       that, and the Half Moon Pond Trail is a great hiking trail close by. For the duration of the summer months highs here at Old Marsh Pond reach the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Old Marsh Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Half Moon State Park Campground is a great site to do that; Fair Haven Municipal Forest is a forest that you can go to. If you go for                  the outdoors, you'll adore Old Marsh Pond. Lakes? Sure, Lake Bomoseen is in close proximity. This is no site for people who don’t like to have fun. Going for a hike along the Glen Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and you can take a little trip to Old Marsh Pond Dam while you're here at Old Marsh Pond. The top of Coons Den is easily distinguished from Old Marsh Pond, and don't leave Old Marsh Pond without first checking out The Great Ledge. Ticonderoga - Super 8 Motel is a great place to get some rest, and golf can be played at Prospect Bay Country Club. A typical amount of rain falls here at Old Marsh Pond; the month with most of the rain is August; February is when it's the driest.
