    Old Marsh Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Through the summertime months, highs typically are in the 80's at Old Marsh Pond, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are usually in the 20's with temperatures at Old Marsh Pond dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. The Glen Lake Trail is a fine hiking trail in close proximity to Old Marsh Pond; there's some flowing water close by, Sucker  
   Creek is a stream you can visit during your stay. Now, you may imagine that's a heap but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Old Marsh Pond. Why not go to Old Marsh Pond Dam while you're here; camping at Bomoseen State Park Campground is always a magnificent experience.
There is a tremendous hiking trail in the neighborhood of Old Marsh Pond called the Bomoseen Hiking Loop, and Coons Den can be observed from Old Marsh Pond. This lake is so wonderful.
 
               If you need a location to stay Lake Bomoseen Inn is a great choice, and Fair Haven Municipal Forest is a forest that you can go to. From a rainfall point of view Old Marsh Pond is a pretty common spot; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest month of the year is February.
Hillside Motel is a pleasant location to get some rest; camping is available at Half Moon State Park Campground. Here at Old Marsh Pond you'll probably meet some folks from Rutland; golf can be played at Prospect Bay Country Club. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Places like Beaver Meadow are great to have a look at.
This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Poultney River is so much fun; going for a hike on the Half Moon Pond Trail is always a glorious adventure. No need to travel far to have a look at exciting stuff like The Great Ledge; Old Marsh Pond is not the only place close by, Howard Pond is a close by lake.
