If you are in this part of Vermont make sure to pay a visit to Notch Pond. The amount of rain that falls at Notch Pond is close to the national average; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of Burke Mountain is just what you need; Lancaster Motor Inn is a magnificent place to get some rest. And if that's not enough there's a heap more entertaining

| | stuff to do in the Green Mountains. The great folks of Berlin like to hang out nearby; a perfect site to camp here at Notch Pond is Big Rock Campground and Store.
Near Notch Pond you locate the Loon Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail, and Notch Pond is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Lakeside Camping Area is a perfect local campground. Take a side trip to North Branch Paul Stream; get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Nulhegan River.

You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool things the area close to Notch Pond has to offer. Go for a hike on the Moose Trail; a good nearby hotel is Coos Motor Inn. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in
luck; Lyndon Outing Club is close to Notch Pond, and going for a hike on the Shore Trail is always a magnificent adventure. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Green Mountains.
The summit of North Notch Mountain can be made out from Notch Pond; a tremendous spot for whitewater paddling is Moose River.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains. Throughout the months of summer at
Notch Pond highs are commonly in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are typically in the 20's; night lows during the winter for Notch Pond tend to be in the-10's.
