Beautiful North Pond has much to offer visitors. Maple Hill Campsites is a great campground nearby, and hiking is a popular thing to do around North Pond; Battell Trail is a great local trail. This lake is so wonderful. Float down the rapids of New Haven River in a kayak, and Baldwin Creek is next to North Pond and is always a pleasure to explore. A day on the slopes of Sugarbush is just what you need.

| | Mad River Glen, and dry warm beds await you at The Middlebury Inn. Yep, outdoors fun stuff truly is abundant here in the Green Mountains. The panorama of picturesque South Mountain near North Pond is wonderful, and Courtyard By Marriott Middlebury is a pleasant place to get some rest. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to North Pond. For the period of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's, and winter nights
come with lows in the 0's to North Pond. From a rainfall point of view North Pond is a relatively common spot; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is one
of the great places here in the Green Mountains.
There's great hiking along the Abbey Pond Trail, and get wet paddling on New Haven River. And if that's not enough, there's plenty more to do near North Pond. Lakes? Sure, Winona
Lake is close at hand; if you came for an overnight stay Green Mt. Family Campground is a pleasant place to camp.
