A visit to North Montpelier Pond is always a good idea. Man, is there a load of exciting things to do near North Montpelier Pond. Lakes are pleasant; Crystal Pool is a lake that's near North Montpelier Pond, and going for a hike on the Kettle Pond Trail is always a fine adventure. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Green Mountains, not sufficient time. In the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Winooski River,

| | and there are delightful sites to look at along the Silver Ledge Trail. This location, the Green Mountains, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. Why not camp at Onion River Campground since you're here at North Montpelier Pond, and there's some flowing water nearby, Kingsbury Branch is a stream you can take a look at during your stay. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Woodbury Golf Course is a great way to kill some time, and if you | |

need a spot to stay Barre-Days Inn Barre/Montpelier is a pleasant choice. Throughout the summer at North Montpelier Pond temperatures are regularly in the 60's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the
50's. Throughout the winter highs are commonly in the 10's, and night lows through the winter for North Montpelier Pond tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent close by hotel is Hollow Inn and Motel, and whitewater
paddling is nice on Minister Brook. North Montpelier Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; most of the rain falls through August while February is usually the driest month. Don't leave North Montpelier Pond without first
going for a hike along the Owls Head Trail, and there are plenty of people from Barre here at North Montpelier Pond. The trees of Plainfield Town Forest are a good source of shade on hot summer days, and North Montpelier Pond Upper
Dam is delightful. This lake is located in the wonderful Green Mountains. Not far from North Montpelier Pond, you'll come across Sodom Pond which is a pretty lake, and Gritt Hill is beautiful and can be made out from here. If
only every place had this much outdoors cool stuff, what a great planet it would be. A good site to camp here at North Montpelier Pond is Green Valley Campground.
