Plainfield Town Forest is a forest in close proximity to North Montpelier Pond that you can go to. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Green Mountains. Not far from North Montpelier Pond, you'll hit upon Crystal Pool which is a delightful lake, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Barre here. North Montpelier Pond is near North Montpelier Pond Upper Dam which is a delightful location       certainly worth going to, and Green Valley Campground is a nice campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. North Montpelier Pond is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Onion River Campground is a perfect place to camp nearby, and Days Inn Barre Montpelier is a great location to get some rest. There's some flowing water close by, Great Brook is a stream you can take a look at during your stay, and if the weather is perfect, you can go for a                  hike along the Silver Ledge Trail. North Montpelier Pond is located in the Green Mountains. So much amusing stuff in close proximity to North Montpelier Pond, simply extraordinary. The Owls Head Trail is a perfect hiking trail near North Montpelier Pond; a good spot for whitewater paddling is Winooski River. But wait, there's more exciting stuff to do in the Green Mountains. The peak of Gritt Hill can be distinguished from North Montpelier Pond, and after a long day outdoors Hollow Inn and Motel is a splendid place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby North Montpelier Pond, and Minister Brook is a pleasant whitewater spot close by. Going for a hike along the Kettle Pond Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and Woodbury Golf Course is a golf course close by. Throughout the summer at North Montpelier Pond highs are frequently in the 60's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 10's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at North Montpelier Pond fall into the 0's.
