     And if that's not sufficient, there's a heap more to do close to Norford Lake. It's a glorious idea to check out Abbott Brook, it's in the vicinity of Norford Lake, and Norford Lake Dam has magnificent water scenery. You could also pop by Mud Pond while you're here at Norford Lake; it's close by, and there are good places to look at along the Wrights Mountain Trail. And if that's not enough there's loads more enjoyable things to do in the Green Mountains. Really  
   wonderful skiing awaits you at Suicide Six, and if you came to camp Rest N' Nest Campground is a delightful place to do that.
This lake is so wonderful. People from Lebanon love to come to Norford Lake, and after a long day outdoors Residence Inn Hanover Lebanon is a wonderful place to spend a night or two. At Norford Lake through the days of summer highs are in the 70's, and the night is rather chillier of course, typically in the 50's. During the winter highs
 
               are in the 20's with temperatures at Norford Lake dipping down into the-10's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Dartmouth Outing Club Trail is always a wonderful adventure; paddling on Ompompanoosuc River - West Branch is so much fun.
Skiing at Whaleback is one of those things you just must do, and dry warm beds await you at Courtyard Hanover Lebanon. Just can't get enough of the Green Mountains. A lake close by is Miller Pond, and you can go for a hike on the Mount Peg Foot and Bridal Trails. If only every place had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a great world it would be. Playing golf is lots of fun at Hanover Country Club. There's so much to do here at Norford Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Storrs Pond Recreation Area is a perfect location for that.
The Green Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Gove Hill can be spotted from Norford Lake, and get dripping wet paddling on Ompompanoosuc River. The annual rainfall here at Norford Lake is about average; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February.
Now, you may believe that's a load but there's even more amusing things to do here in the Green Mountains.

Our fall foliage is beyond compare. Spectacular views can be seen from mid September to mid October whether you take the interstate or the scenic routes.
