The winter comes with highs in the 20's while Nichols Pond nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. Idle Hours Campground is a great campground nearby, and a nice nearby hotel is Days Inn Barre Montpelier. All year is a nice time in the Green Mountains if you adore the outdoors. Lakes are such peaceful spots, why not stop at       Coits Pond near Nichols Pond, and after a long day outdoors Hollow Inn and Motel is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two. Now, you may assume that's a heap but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Nichols Pond. You can take a little journey to East Long Pond Dam while you're here at Nichols Pond, and since you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Barre. Nichols Pond is a reasonably wet place frequently with much rainfall; the wettest                  month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Green Mountains. Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Kettle Pond Trail; visit close by Martell Swamp. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a brilliant time here at Nichols Pond. Lamoille River - Wild Branch is a glorious whitewater spot near Nichols Pond; you'll stumble on a stunning lake called East Long Pond. Going for a hike along the Osmore Pond Hiking Loop will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and Nichols Pond is a brilliant place to visit for more than one day, Larry and Sons Campground is a brilliant place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Nichols Pond you can take a hike along the Owls Head Trail; while you're here at Nichols Pond, checking out Nichols Ledge is a must. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Woodbury Golf Course is a perfect way to kill some time, and a tremendous spot for whitewater paddling is Winooski River.
