Arcadia Brook flows through this vicinity, and from Newark Pond you get a splendid panorama of McSherry Mountain. This lake is located in the wonderful Green Mountains. Really perfect skiing awaits you at Lyndon Outing       Club, and close by you locate the South Shore Hiking Trail which is a fine hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. White Caps Campground is a tremendous local campground, and after a long day outdoors Fairbanks Inn is a good location to spend a night or two. Going for a hike on the Mount Pisgah Trail is always a brilliant adventure. Be careful coming to the Green Mountains, you might not ever want to return back home again. If you get bored of Newark Pond,                  you could also go to nearby Sawdust Pond; Holiday Motel and Annex is a delightful place to get some rest. Now, you may feel that's a heap but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Newark Pond. Skiing at Burke Mountain is one of those things you just should do; paddling on Clyde River is so much fun. High temperatures at Newark Pond during the summertime are in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's while Newark Pond nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the 0's. Yeah, come up here to the Green Mountains for a splendid time. If you came for an overnight stay White Caps Campground is a great place to camp; there are perfect locations to explore along the Herbert Hawkes Hiking Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
