     Get your heart pumping on the wonderful whitewater of Moose River, and don't forget to take a great little spree to Arcadia Brook. If you need a location to stay Fairbanks Inn is a good choice. Newark Pond is located in the Green Mountains.
From a precipitation point of view Newark Pond is a relatively normal place; August is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. Summertime highs at Newark Pond generally tend to be
 
   in the 70's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are usually in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Newark Pond through the wintertime mostly drop into the 0's. Man, is there lots of exciting stuff to do in the Green Mountains. If the weather is gorgeous, you get a great vista of McSherry Mountain from Newark Pond; do take a hike on the Mount Pisgah Trail.

               White Caps Campground is a magnificent spot to camp, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Motel and Annex is a perfect spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Clyde River for all you adrenaline kick people; hey, Gotta ski right? Burke Mountain is a splendid place to do that. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff at Newark Pond. What would winter be without some skiing at Lyndon Outing Club; hiking along the Herbert Hawkes Hiking Trail is nice fun.
So much exciting stuff to do here in the Green Mountains, too brilliant to be true. Sawdust Pond is a wonderful lake next to Newark Pond, and Newark Pond is right by the South Shore Hiking Trail. White Caps Campground is a splendid local campground; there are other places here than Newark Pond, for example Brown Pond.
