    Many people like to go to Nelson Pond. This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Kettle Pond Trail; get yourself into a kayak and hit Minister Brook. And that's not all you can do here at Nelson Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. Take some time to have a look at East Montpelier Municipal Forest since you're here; if you're interested in hydro structures, you can
 
   stop by Adamant Pond Dam. Nelson Pond is a relatively wet place mostly with lots of precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain while February is regularly the driest month. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area next to Nelson Pond has to offer. The summit of Long Meadow Hill can be made out from Nelson Pond, and camping at Nelson Pond is glorious fun, Lazy Lions Campground is a glorious local campground.
While
 
               you're here at Nelson Pond you can take a hike along the Silver Ledge Trail; Beaver Meadow Brook is next to Nelson Pond and is always a diversion to explore. Gotta ski! Stowe is a magnificent place to do that, and if you need a place to stay CAPITAL INN is a delightful choice. Man, is there a heap of cool things to do in the Green Mountains. There are some good whitewater spots on Winooski River; if you came for an overnight stay Green Valley Campground is a wonderful place to camp.
Summertime highs at Nelson Pond ordinarily tend to be in the 60's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are mostly in the 10's; overnight lows in the 0's for Nelson Pond. After a long day outdoors Hilltop Inn is a nice place to spend a night or two; if you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Barre. You definitely ought to go for the Green Mountains. A delightful lake like Adamant Pond in close proximity to Nelson Pond is a tremendous location to take a look at; going for a hike along the Bear Hill Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area.
