    The beauty of Nelson Pond is reason enough to stop by. Go for a hike on the Bear Hill Trail, and camping is available at Green Valley Campground. Long Meadow Hill is clearly visible from Nelson Pond, and if you need a site to stay Hilltop Inn is a good choice. Yeah, come here to Nelson Pond for a perfect time. There are some fine whitewater spots on Winooski River.
This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Minister Brook; most likely
 
   you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Crystal Pool is just a very short distance away. Summer brings highs in the 60's to Nelson Pond. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. During the wintertime highs are regularly in the 10's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Nelson Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Kettle Pond Trail is always a delightful adventure; there's always Adamant Pond Dam to have a look at in close proximity  
               to Nelson Pond.
Nelson Pond is a beautiful lake in the Green Mountains. There's a brilliant forest near Nelson Pond called East Montpelier Municipal Forest, and dry warm beds await you at The Inn at Montpelier. So many cool things in the Green Mountains, just mind-blowing. Why not camp at Lazy Lions Campground while you're here at Nelson Pond, and the nice folks of Barre like to hang out nearby.
So many fun things to do here at Nelson Pond, too good to be true. You could also stop at Sodom Pond if you're here at Nelson Pond; it's nearby; do go to Beaver Meadow Brook if you're here at Nelson Pond. Much precipitation falls at Nelson Pond; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while February is regularly the driest month. And that's not everything you can do here in the Green Mountains. Don't leave Nelson Pond without first going for a hike along the Silver Ledge Trail, and everybody close by loves skiing at Stowe.
