Be careful coming to Nelson Pond, you might not ever want to go home again. Lakes are good; Chapels Pond is a lake that's in the vicinity of Nelson Pond, and if you need a site to stay The Inn at Montpelier is a great choice. There's great hiking along the Bear Hill Trail, and East Montpelier Municipal Forest is worth checking out. Summer brings highs in the 60's to Nelson Pond. wonderful. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Stowe; not far from Nelson Pond you'll discover Horn of the Moon Pond which is a lovely lake. These mountains rock, just look at all the enjoyable things to do in the Green Mountains. There's
always Adamant Pond Dam to explore near Nelson Pond, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on Minister Brook. On a pretty day you obtain a view of Long Meadow Hill from Nelson Pond, and a magnificent close by hotel is Hilltop
Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Beaver Meadow Brook is a delightful stream that is worth taking a look at, and don't leave Nelson Pond without first going for a hike along the Kettle Pond Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains.
