Negro Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Holiday Motel and Annex is a good location to get some rest; Barton River is a nice whitewater spot close by. But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the Green Mountains. A lovely lake like Kings Pond right next door to Negro Pond is a great location to take a look at; Negro Pond is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, White Caps Campground is a perfect local campground. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Negro Pond. is a splendid location to do that. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Derby/Newport Area is a delightful choice, and hey, Gotta ski right? Lyndon Outing Club is a tremendous place to do that.
Negro Pond is a beautiful lake in the Green Mountains. From a rain point of view Negro Pond is a reasonably normal spot; August is the wettest month with most rain; February is the month with the least moisture.
