If you are in this part of Vermont make sure to pay a visit to Negro Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Goodwin Mountain can be spotted from Negro Pond, and the South Shore Hiking Trail is a good hiking trail nearby. Glide down the rapids of Barton River in a kayak; nearby you find the Herbert Hawkes Hiking Trail which is a good hiking trail.
A tremendous location to camp here at Negro Pond is White Caps Campground, and if you get bored of Negro Pond you

| | could also stop at close by Long Pond. Negro Pond is one of the lakes here in the Green Mountains. If you like the outdoors, you'll love Negro Pond. The skiing at Burke Mountain is wonderful; Negro Pond is not the only spot nearby, Lake Willoughby is a nearby lake.

Green Mountains if you like the outdoors. Paddling on Clyde River is so much fun, and if you need a location to stay Super 8 Motel - Derby/Newport Area is a great choice. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the Green
Mountains. Lyndon Outing Club is a good local ski area; camping at White Caps Campground is always a nice experience.
