     If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Green Mountains. Clarendon River has a splendid whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Rutland Killington Red Roof Inn is a perfect place to get some rest. This location, the Green Mountains, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Rutland Country Club is a great golf course nearby. Just can't get enough of Muddy Pond. Have a great hiking adventure along the South Pond Trail, and you don’t have to go far from  
   Muddy Pond to make out the water at Center Rutland Dam.
Muddy Pond is located in the Green Mountains. So much cool stuff to do at Muddy Pond, so little time. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Canty Trail; Rocky Pond is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Hapgood Pond - Green Mountain National Forest is a pleasant location to camp, and why not a little side journey to Clarendon
 
               River.
Hit the slopes at Killington close at hand; Center Rutland Falls is always fun to check out. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Green Mountains. A good view of wonderful Pine Hill is available from Muddy Pond, and Iroquios Land Family is a nice campground nearby. Muddy Pond gets a common amount of rain; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest.
Summertime at Muddy Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and overnight lows throughout the winter for Muddy Pond tend to be in the 0's. Take a hike on the New Boston Trail, and Pico Mountain has good slopes and a friendly staff. After a long day outdoors Highlander Motel is a great place to spend a night or two, and if you get bored of Muddy Pond you could also check out nearby Patch Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. Lots of folks from Rutland come to Muddy Pond, and whitewater paddling is good on Mill River.
