If you need a location to stay Fairbanks Inn is a tremendous choice, and you get a great sight of Tucker Mountain from here. Don't leave Muddy Pond without first going for a hike along the Wrights Mountain Trail; do visit Long Pond, it's a pretty lake. A normal amount of precipitation falls here at Muddy Pond; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. | | Municipal Forest is a great local forest, and while you're here, you could also go to delightful Round Pond. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Waits River. That right there is a heap of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Green Mountains has it all. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn & Suites, and camping is available at Ricker Campground. to the Green Mountains, you might not ever want to return back home again. Camping at Pleasant Valley Camp Grounds is always a nice experience, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Muddy Pond; Grimes Hill Road is a glorious
local trail. For the period of the warmest time of the year here at Muddy Pond, high temperatures frequently reach the 70's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's,
and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Muddy Pond temperatures dip to the 0's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Muddy Pond. Wells River is a good whitewater spot near Muddy Pond, and there's great hiking along the Peacham Bog Trail.

 | We have been campers on Ticklenaked Pond for 30 plus years and love it's pristine water and oh yes....the loons. We have now been seasonal campers for 8 years and plan on many more. This is a wonderful family campground with much to enjoy such as a fishing derby for the kids, pot luck dinners, karaoke, live bands at least a couple of times during the season, paddle boats to rent, swimming, boating, hot showers and many, many, wonderful folks.
