Why not stop by Mud Ponds if you're passing through these parts. This lake is located in the wonderful Green Mountains. If you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clyde River. Whitewater paddling is great on Nulhegan River, and a lake nearby is Underpass Pond. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Main Trail; don't forget to take a glorious little spree to Cold Brook. at White Caps Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Burke Mountain and strap some skis to your feet; hiking along the Red Pine Trail is pleasant fun. High temperatures at Mud Ponds during the warm days of summer are
in the 70's, and the nighttime is somewhat chillier of course, frequently in the 50's. Highs during the winter are usually in the 20's with temperatures at Mud Ponds dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. A great close
by hotel is Holiday Motel and Annex. Mud Ponds is a good site of common precipitation; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Life's
