Mud Ponds is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. The Green Mountains scenery is always beautiful. After a long day outdoors Holiday Motel and Annex is a good location to spend a night or two; some of the water close by flows, like Cold Brook. What a spot this is for outdoors people. A glorious place to camp here at Mud Ponds is White Caps Campground; if you come at the right time of year, Nulhegan River offers some great whitewater.

| | This lake is so wonderful. The view of Dolif Mountain from Mud Ponds is beautiful, and Lyndon Outing Club has magnificent slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Really good skiing awaits you at Burke Mountain, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Clyde River. This place, the Green Mountains, has so much outdoors fun stuff. If the weather is great here at Mud Ponds, you can go for a hike along the Shore Trail, and Mud Ponds is perfect enough | |

to spend more than a day at, White Caps Campground is a perfect local campground.
So much exciting stuff to do in the Green Mountains, not enough time. A wonderful lake like Mud Pond in close proximity to Mud Ponds is a good place
to visit, and the Main Trail is a splendid hiking trail close by. Through the summertime months highs here at Mud Ponds get into the 70's with night lows in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's; nighttime lows at Mud
Ponds all through the wintertime ordinarily sink into the 0's.
Mud Ponds gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; throughout August this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. Super 8 Motel -
Derby/Newport Area is a pleasant place to get some rest, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Red Pine Trail.
