It's always fun to stop by Mud Pond. All through the summertime highs here at Mud Pond get into the 60's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 10's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Mud Pond. A good deal of precipitation falls at Mud Pond; August is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Mud Pond you

Good hiking is available along the Kettle Pond Trail, and do go to Little Mud Pond, it's a pretty lake. Mud Pond is a beautiful lake in the Green Mountains. is a great place to camp. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Osmore Pond Hiking Loop, and Onion River Campground is a perfect campground nearby. So much amusing stuff to do here in the Green Mountains, too great to be true.
Hiking is a popular thing to do around Mud Pond; Owls Head Trail is a great local trail, and Lamoille River - Wild Branch is a magnificent whitewater spot close by. You can run the rapids of Winooski River near Mud Pond, and Barre-Days
Inn Barre/Montpelier is a fine location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Hollow Inn and Motel, and while you're here, you could also explore beautiful Knob Hill Pond.
